"Yoga helps me be the man I always should have been."
The Trini Foundation supports individuals in the criminal justice system by partnering with judicially supervised programs to positively affect lives. We teach classes as part of prevention programming for delinquent youth to reduce the likelihood of incarceration. We also teach classes in drug courts and halfway houses to support the recovery process, ease the transition back into society, and prevent relapse. The breath and meditation-focused aspects of Ashtanga yoga provide valuable skills for navigating life’s difficulties without turning to drugs and alcohol. We aim to do more than simply help someone make an initial return to society; we seek to support them as they become involved in their communities and assemble new lives.
